Description

Hello,

In dataless SEED, several networks use the "network identifier code" blockette 50, field 10, to indicate the institutions in charge of the station.
In case stations in the same network are jointly operated by different institutions, this field is likely to be different for each station (this happens for, but not only, networks CU, IU, G).

The converter currently maps this field into the stationXML "network description" field, which is logical.
However, when doing so, we end up with an identical network code having multiple "network descriptions" in the different stationXMLs produced, which several softwares don't like.

It would be nice to have options to :
- map the blockette 50, field 10 to stationXML station->Operator (seed -> stationxml);
- overload the stationXML network->network description with some string passed as argument (seed -> stationxml);
- map the different station->Operators into the blockette 50, field 10 (stationxml -> seed).

Attached are the file for CU network.
Dataless have been downloaded from IRIS/DMC and stationXML produced with the converter.
Since there is single dataless file, the stationXML network->network description contains the first blockette 50, field 10 found in the dataless file (from ANWB station).

Thanks.
Regards.

Jean-Marie SAUREL.
