This is a compilation of inverse and parameter estimation code that accompanies the second edition of the textbook "Parameter Estimation and Inverse Problems", by R. Aster, B. Borchers, and C. Thurber. This text introduces both Classical and Bayesian approaches to linear and nonlinear problems with particular attention paid to computational, mathematical, and statistical issues related to their application to geophysical problems. The code reproduces all figures and examples from the book, and provides useful templates and subroutines that can be adopted for solving other problems.
